The joint personnel controlled street vendors and illegal parking along Jalan Suryo, Rawa Barat Urban Village, Kebayoran Baru District, South Jakarta.

Head of Rawa Barat Urban Village, Merinta Hendri Purnomo said this activity is an effort to create a neat, orderly, and pedestrian-friendly South Jakarta area.

"This week, we have been conducting intensive enforcement. We urge vendors and vehicles caught illegally parked on the roadside or sidewalks to refrain from repeating their actions," he said, Thursday (1/8).

Merinta explained 10 joint personnel of Satpol PP, Transportation Agency, Fire Handling and Rescue Sub-agency and others were involved during the activity.

"Along with the Public Order Agency (Satpol PP), we are only providing warnings. However, if violations continue, action will be taken in accordance with applicable regulations," he added.

Meanwhile, Head of Rawa Barat Urban Village Satpol PP, Dul Halim stated street vendors and illegally parked vehicles must be given a warning or reprimand before taking action in accordance with Regional Regulation Number 8 of 2007 concerning Public Order.

He added that all personnel have been asked to prioritize a humanistic and informative approach to violators.

"We collect data and give warnings. Hopefully they will not return to their activities or park in inappropriate locations," he stated.
