The North Jakarta Transportation Sub-agency controlled 5,572 traffic violators along 2025. The action targeted two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicles, both public transportation, goods transportation, and private vehicles.
Each violator was given a sanction
Sub-agency's Head of Operational Control of Traffic and Road Transportation, Yulza Ramadhoni Putra said thousands of vehicles were netted for various types of violations, such as going against the flow of traffic, violating routes, illegal parking, overloading, and other traffic violations.
"Each violator was given a sanction according to the type of violation committed," he said, Thursday (1/8).
A total of 3,324 vehicles were ticketed through inspection reports (BAP). Additionally, 1,760 vehicles were towed for illegal parking or violating traffic signs.
"We also took action against 78 vehicles with sanctions of stopping operations because they were not roadworthy," he added.
The sub-agency also confiscated 133 motorcycles. Meanwhile, 263 motorcycles and 14 cars were subjected to Tire Valve Removal Operations (OCP) as a form of enforcement against parking violations.
"We remain committed to maintaining smooth traffic flow, especially at points prone to congestion and violations," he continued.
This action is not solely aimed at imposing sanctions, but also providing a deterrent effect to create comfort and safety for all road users.
