Jakarta’s monthly inflation rate reached 0.33% in December 2025, according to the latest data from Statistics Indonesia (BPS).
Jakarta’s exports saw a significant 22.68% year-on-year surge
Jakarta BPS Head, Nurul Hasanudin attributed the month-to-month (MoM) increase to price hikes in several key commodities, led by poultry (0.08%), bird’s eye chilies (0.07%), and gasoline (0.05%).
On the trade front, Jakarta’s exports saw a significant 22.68% year-on-year surge in November 2025, totaling $1.65 billion. During the same period, the city’s imports were recorded at $6.97 billion.
Jakarta’s tourism sector continued its upward momentum in November 2025, with hotel occupancy rates climbing 4.34% compared to the previous month. Star-rated hotels reached a 62.03% occupancy capacity, while non-star accommodations saw a 44.90% rate.
Public transit ridership also remained robust. According to Statistics Indonesia (BPS), Transjakarta led the city's mass transit usage with over 37.7 million passengers in November, followed by the MRT with 4.06 million and the LRT with 114,965 riders.
On the travel front, departures from Halim Perdanakusuma Airport totaled 92,786 passengers, while Tanjung Priok Port recorded 14,958 travelers during the same period.
