Pramono also admitted to having established intensive communication with the Indonesian Minister of Health to ensure that mitigation measures in Jakarta are in line with the central government.
"We have taken precautions. I summoned the health agency head to discuss this," he added.
As for information, the H3N2 subclade K variant has previously triggered a surge in cases in several countries such as Japan, Canada, and the United States.
In Indonesia, the Ministry of Health has recorded at least 62 identified cases. The Ministry of Health has also confirmed that superflu is not as deadly as COVID-19.
