The water channel revitalization along 100 meters on Jalan Swadaya Post, RT 05/16, Pulo Gebang Urban Village, Cakung District, East Jakarta has been completed.

Head of Cakung Water Resources Unit, Dian Nur Cahyono said the channel revitalization was run according to local residents'requests.

"The drainage channels were small and unable to accommodate high water levels. As a result, flooding often occurs, reaching a depth of around 10 centimeters," he said, Tuesday (1/6).

Dian explained 11 Blue Troop personnel were deployed to work on the channel. One crane was also deployed to lift u-ditch concrete.

"We installed 60x60x120 cm u-ditch," he explained.

According to him, revitalization work began on December 16, 2025, and was completed on Monday (1/5). The completion of this revitalization is expected to ensure optimal drainage and prevent flooding, especially during the rainy season.
