Jakarta Deputy Governor, Rano Karno confirmed that the landslide on the banks of the Angke Hulu River in Kembangan Selatan, Kembangan, West Jakarta, has been resolved. The retaining wall construction is targeted for completion by mid-January 2025.

"It has been handled. The total length is about 20 meters," he said, Monday (1/5).

Rano explained West Jakarta Mayor Iin Mutmainah has inspected the location and is currently in the process of constructing a retaining wall using gabions.

Head of West Jakarta Water Resources, Purwanti said the process of repairing the retaining wall using river stone gabion material has begun since Saturday (1/3).

The gabion construction covers a length of approximately 20 meters and a height of approximately four meters. The technical work involves 30-50 workers each day.

"If the weather permits, the project will take approximately 10 days. It should be completed by mid-January at the latest," she admitted.
