As many as 100 personnel of PPSU assisted East Jakarta PMI to prepare the aid packages sent to Sumatra.
They will be on duty until next week
Head of East Jakarta PMI, HR Krisdianto said 100 PPSU personnel who have been trained as PMI volunteers were deployed to help pack 20 thousand aid packages for Sumatra.
"They will be on duty until next week," he said, Friday (1/2).
This humanitarian aid package contains various clothing needs, including men's and women's underwear, two sarongs, men's trousers, gamis shirts, koko shirts, prayer robes, and other basic necessities.
It is hoped that the aid prepared will reach the survivors quickly, thus easing their burden during the emergency response period.
East Jakarta Mayor, Munjirin, appreciated this activity.
"This humanitarian mission is very noble, hopefully it can help ease the burden experienced by those who are affected by disaster," he stated.
