Fire that burned a restaurant on Jalan Kota Bambu Selatan, RT 01/08, Kota Bambu Selatan Urban Village, Palmerah District was successfully extinguished by personnel of West Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue Sub-agency.
Then we deployed 10 firetrucks with 50 personnel
Head Section of Operation for the sub-agency, Syaiful Kahfi said the incident was reported by a local resident at 7 AM.
"Then we deployed 10 firetrucks with 50 personnel to the scene," he said, Friday (1/2).
He explained that with full force, the fire that destroyed the building measuring approximately 50 square meters was successfully localized around 15 minutes after personnel arrived at the location.
"The extinguishing was fully completed at 7:43 AM," he explained.
The fire is thought to have been caused by a gas cylinder leak while cooking was taking place.
"There were no fatalities or injuries in this fire incident," he added.
Meanwhile, one of the residents, Achmad stated the fire occurred due to problems installing the gas cylinder valve by a restaurant employee, which caused a leak that caught fire.
"Luckily the personnel came to the scene quickly," he stated.
