North Jakarta Transportation Sub-agency prepares 236 personnel for security and traffic management on New Year's Eve. Security measures are being implemented in an integrated manner at several strategic locations, tourist areas, and busy centers in North Jakarta.

Head of North Jakarta Transportation Sub-agency, Rudy Saptari Sulesuryana said personnel are divided into two shifts, from 6 AM to 3 AM. Hundreds of personnel are deployed at congestion-prone areas and high-traffic areas.
"We also deploy a towing unit to anticipate traffic disruptions. We want to ensure smooth traffic flow and provide a sense of security and comfort for those celebrating New Year," he said, Wednesday (12/31).
Rudy explained the new year celebration North Jakarta is held at Artha Gading Mall. 30 personnel are standby inside the mall and the other 35 personnel are on the road.
"We also prepare parking lot. But we appeal to the public to use public transportation," he explained.
According to him, personnel are also on standby in tourist areas including the Ancol Beach Symphony PAM Post and its surroundings, Kemayoran, Sunter Lake, PIK Icon, and the Sudirman-Thamrin Car Free Night area.
Security is also carried out at Muara Angke Port and other locations with the support of on-duty personnel.
"For district areas, traffic security is also carried out on a mobile basis by the respective District Transportation Implementation Units," he added.
Personnel are also standby on several prone to traffic jams location. Therefore, the agency has deployed personnel along Jalan Yos Sudarso, the Police Headquarters U-turn, the Plumpang Toll Exit, the Artha Gading U-turn, Kramat Raya, Simpang Lima Semper, the Kelapa Gading Roundabout, the Ancol Swinging Bridge, and other locations.
"I urge the public to remain orderly in traffic, follow the directions of officers in the field, and prioritize safety during New Year's Eve celebrations," he appealed.
