Jakarta officials are rolling out a comprehensive parking plan for tonight’s "From Jakarta with Love" New Year’s Eve celebration. To manage the anticipated holiday rush, the city has secured dozens of parking areas to accommodate commuters heading to the 2026 countdown.

The festivities, which feature multiple entertainment stages across the city center, will begin at 6 PM and conclude at 1 AM on New Year’s Day. The parking hubs are strategically located to provide easy access to the main event sites while ensuring smoother traffic flow for the thousands expected to attend.

The designated parking hubs aim to facilitate mobility for the thousands of revelers expected to gather at several main stages across the city center.

Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) Head, Syafrin Liputo said 36 parking locations have been secured along Jalan Jenderal Sudirman-Jalan MH Thamrin corridor through the Panglima Polim area. The total parking capacity provided includes 21,132 motorcycle spots, 22,306 car spots, and 182 bus spots.

"We have opened 36 parking sites to prevent New Year's Eve gridlock. The aim is to keep the streets clear by providing ample off-street parking," he explained, Wednesday (12/31).

Primary Parking (Thamrin-Sudirman): Sarinah, Plaza Indonesia, Grand Indonesia, Wisma Nusantara, BNI 46, GBK, FX Sudirman, and Plaza Senayan

South Jakarta Parking: STC Senayan, Plaza Blok M, Al-Azhar Mosque, and Ministry of ATR/BPN

Road Closures: 33 road segments will be closed from 6 PM to 1 AM

Official Advice: Use public transit and plan routes in advance
