Let’s grow together in 2026
PT Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta) has confirmed its operational readiness to support public mobility during the New Year’s Eve 2026 transition.
The fleet’s readiness is part of the agency’s support for the Jakarta government's "Car Free Night" along the Sudirman-Thamrin corridor, which runs from Wednesday (12/31) into the early hours of Thursday (1/1).
Transjakarta's Public Relation and CSR Department Head, Ayu Wardhani said, transit officials are rerouting 48 Transjakarta lines tonight as the city implements road closures for New Year’s Eve. While 13 BRT and 29 integrated routes are affected, the agency confirmed that essential travel will remain available.
Agency officials stated Wednesday that while diversions are in place near Car Free Night areas, the 14 main corridors are exempt from the shutdown and will run 24 hours.
For those using smaller feeder vans, four Mikrotrans services have been tapped for round-the-clock service:
JAK 36: Cilangkap-Cililitan
JAK 47: Pasar Minggu-Ciganjur
JAK 52: Kalideres-Muara Angke
JAK 75: Cililitan-Kampung Pulo
“We want to ensure residents can still navigate the city safely during the countdown,” she added.
Transjakarta is boosting late-night service for New Year’s Eve. The following routes will operate until 2 AM:
BRT Routes: 3H (Pesing Station–Kota), 3F (Kalideres–Senayan), 5C (Cililitan–Juanda).
Integrated Feeder Routes:
1A (Pantai Maju–City Hall)
1W (Blok M–Ancol)
7B (Kampung Rambutan–Blok M)
7C (Cibubur–Cililitan)
7D (TMII–Pancoran)
4K & 6M (Manggarai Station connections)
9D & 9H (Pasar Minggu )
Then, the extension is designed to ensure seamless mobility for crowds gathered at the city's primary celebration sites.
"Additionally, 87 Mikrotrans routes will extend their service hours today, operating from 5 AM to 12:30 AM. Hopefully, passengers can plan their commutes with ease and without worrying about transportation access during the New Year’s transition,” she added.
To symbolize the arrival of 2026, Transjakarta is deploying a total of 2,026 buses between December 31, 2025, and January 1, 2026.
Real-time service updates are available through the TJ: Transjakarta app and the agency's official social media channels.
"We are happy to be part of the community’s New Year celebration. Thank you for a great 2025. Let’s grow together in 2026," she stated.
