The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) is forecasting weather conditions ranging from cloudy skies to moderate rainfall for Jakarta today.

"Rain in the morning," stated BMKG's official website, Wednesday (12/31) morning.

By midday, cloudy conditions are expected to blanket all administrative regions, including Seribu Islands and Central, North, West, South, and East Jakarta.

The weather will shift again in the afternoon. While Seribu Islands and Central Jakarta are expected to remain overcast, light rain is forecasted to dampen the rest of the city.

As the city prepares for New Year's Eve festivities tonight, BMKG warns of potential light rain across all areas of Jakarta. The mercury is expected to hover between 23 and 28 degrees Celsius, with air humidity between 73 to 96 percent.
