The Water Resources Agency's Technical Management Unit for Equipment and Supplies (UPT Alkal) added new facility and infrastructure in order to support flood and inundation handling.
All mobile pumps have been disbursed
Falaah Nugraha, Head of Water Resources Agency's Technical Management Unit for Equipment and Supplies, said a number of new supporting facilities include 21 electric dump trucks powered by electricity, with details of eight units with a capacity of five cubic meters, eight units with a capacity of seven to 7.3 cubic meters, and five electric dump trucks with a capacity of six cubic meters.
"This electric dump truck is our first electric vehicle trial. However, we will continue to evaluate it over the next year," he said, Tuesday (12/30).
According to Falaah, all electric dump trucks will be operated by the East Jakarta Water Resources Sub-agency, but afterward, they must return to the Alkal Technical Implementation Unit (UPT Alkal) office in the Pinang Ranti area. This is because the Electric Vehicle Charging Station (SPKL) is only available at the UPT Alkal office.
"There are two slots or chargers for charging electric vehicles in this office," he added.
In addition to dump trucks, Falaah continued, his side also added five mobile pump units with a capacity of 500 liters per second.
"All mobile pumps have been disbursed to five administration areas," he continued.
Then a double-cabin truck and 12 floating pumps, each with a capacity of 50 liters per second, were purchased. These floating pumps are specifically designed to handle flooding on roads with a depth of 20-30 centimeters.
"Seven floating pumps have been disbursed to East Jakarta Water Resources Sub-agency and the remaining five pumps to be disbursed later," he stated.
