5,865 Tourists Travel to the Seribu Islands

As many as 5,865 people visited Seribu Islands to enjoy the Christmas holidays and weekends during December 25-27, 2025.

Seribu Islands Head of Tourism and Creative Economy Sub-agency, Sonti Pangaribuan, said tourist visits came from several ferry entry points, including the Ancol Marina Pier, where 1,361 tourists were recorded, comprising 1,226 domestic tourists and 135 international tourists.

Then there were 3,349 domestic tourists from Muara Angke Port, 855 tourists from Tanjung Pasir, and 300 tourists from Cituis Pier.

"This number of visits shows the high level of public enthusiasm for traveling to the Seribu Islands. Hopefully, this positive trend will continue through the New Year holiday season," she said, Sunday (12/28).

Sonti added that these tourists visit the Seribu Islands to enjoy the natural beauty and various tourist attractions on the inhabited islands, resort islands, cultural heritage islands, and tourist islands.

"Tourists usually do surface diving (snorkeling), water sports starting from various rubber boats (banana boats), canoes and jet skis," she added.

She explained that her ranks has prepared a series of special entertainment stage events and donation actions for Sumatra which will be held on Untung Jawa Island to enliven and attract tourists on New Year's Eve.

"It will start at 10 AM till midnight. We hope that tourists can enjoy their holidays safely, comfortably, and still care about the environment," she explained.

Meanwhile, Head of Panggang Island Urban Village, Jamaluddin stated Pramuka Island is still popular with tourists, with 614 domestic and international tourists visiting since the Christmas holidays.

On Pramuka Island, tourists can enjoy the beauty of the natural panorama starting from the Marine National Park, Sunrise Beach, Sunset Beach and Cikaya Beach on Karya Island.

"For tourists who have a hobby of camping, they can also come to Semak Daun Island and Gusung Petrik using a fishing boat with a travel time of around 30 minutes from Pramuka Island," he added.

He assessed that tourist visits to Pramuka Island are predicted to continue to increase, therefore, his party and joint officers continue to ensure security and comfort.

"Hopefully the Seribu Islands tourism sector can continue to grow and have a positive impact on the local economy," he hoped.
