Head of Pancoran District, Alamsah led the disaster preparedness role call and simulation participated by 150 joint personnel at Rawajati Urban Village Office.

He said this activity was held to ensure the readiness of all ranks, especially in handling natural disasters in the Rawajati urban village area.

"This is because the Rawajati area is located on the banks of the Ciliwung River and there are three RWs that are most often affected by overflows ," he said, Tuesday (12/23).

He hopes that the Ciliwung Cisadane River Basin Center, as the authority holding the Ciliwung River area, can immediately complete the construction of the water pump.

"The water pump construction has reached 50 percent," he added.

Meanwhile, Head of Rawajati Urban Village, Sariman explained this activity demonstrates how to set up tents and prepare logistics quickly and accurately by the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) team, especially for PPSU officers.

"Although providing tents is the BPBD's responsibility, the involvement of the PPSU aims for faster handling," he explained.

According to him, the RW 07 area in Rawajati Urban Village remains the worst-affected area. However, despite the relatively high levels of floodwater, residents prefer to stay on the second floors of their homes.

"We continue to strive to provide the best service for residents affected by the disaster, including human and other support," he stated.
