Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung is set to follow the central government's recommendation to implement a Work From Anywhere (WFA) policy for the Jakarta government ahead of the year-end holidays.
I want to ensure that services remain uninterrupted
He guaranteed that public service standards will remain unaffected by the policy, specifically for front-facing state officials who provide direct assistance to the community.
“Those in public service roles will continue to work on-site. I want to ensure that services remain uninterrupted,” he expressed, Friday (12/19).
The administration aims to optimize work efficiency by implementing WFA for specific positions suitable for remote work. He noted, such remote work schemes are not a new concept for the Jakarta government.
“What is certain is that the Jakarta government will pursue efficiency through this policy. Remote work is already familiar territory for us,” he explained.
Notably, the central government, through the Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform (PANRB), announced that civil servants are permitted to Work From Anywhere from December 29 to 31, 2025, followed by the weekend holidays.
He added that the policy is intended to stimulate economic activity throughout the 2025/2026 Christmas and New Year holiday period.
