Jakarta Transportation Agency has prepared seven terminals to accommodate travelers during the 2025 Christmas and 2026 New Year (Nataru) holidays.

"...we hope travelers to and from Jakarta are well accommodated by public transportation services,"

This initiative aims to manage passenger traffic effectively and ensure travel safety over the holiday season.

Jakarta Transportation Agency Head Syafrin Liputo explained that the seven terminals consist of four main terminals, namely Pulogebang Integrated Terminal, Kampung Rambutan Terminal, Kalideres Terminal, and Tanjung Priok Terminal, as well as three supporting terminals: Muara Angke Terminal, Grogol Terminal, and Lebak Bulus Terminal.

"With these four main terminals and three supporting terminals, we hope travelers to and from Jakarta are well accommodated by public transportation services," he said on Wednesday (12/17).

Syafrin added that inspections will be carried out at all operational terminals during Nataru to ensure safe and smooth travel. Each terminal will be equipped with an integrated command post, health post, and ramp check post for public transportation vehicles.

"Ramp checks are conducted to ensure that all technical requirements and roadworthiness of vehicles are met before departure," he noted.

In addition to ramp checks, the Jakarta Transportation Agency is also conducting health checks on bus drivers. These checks cover their overall physical condition and verify that they are free from the influence of alcohol and drugs, to ensure passengers' safety.

According to him, these inspections and monitoring have been in place and will continue throughout the Nataru period. Health services are available not only for drivers but also for passengers waiting at the terminals.

"Passengers waiting at the terminal can use the services at health posts. It's important to ensure they're physically fit for long-distance travel before departure," he noted.
