Jakarta Governor, Pramono Anung said that Jakarta Provincial Government is about to start the Waste-to-Energy Power Plant (PLTSa) project in Bantargebang, Bekasi, West Java.

begin at Bantargebang

The construction of the PLTSa project is to reduce the waste load at the Bantargebang Integrated Waste Processing Site (TPST).

"The construction is about to begin at Bantargebang," he said, Tuesday (12/16).

Pramono explained that this plan had been intensively discussed with the Danantara Investment Management Agency. Two waste-to-energy (PLTSa) units are planned to be built, simultaneously accelerating the waste reduction process.

In addition to processing new waste that comes in every day, the construction of this PLTSa is also to handle the piles of old waste that have grown large.

"Hopefully, the 55 million tons currently in stock at Bantargebang will gradually decrease significantly. That's what we're going to do," he stated.
