In order to realize Jakarta as a global city capable of providing a high quality of life for its residents, Central Jakarta is committed to implementing and ensuring integrated food security.

Central Jakarta Mayor, Arifin said the implementation and guarantee of food security is realized through strengthening regulations and support from the Regional Budget (APBD), cross-sectoral cooperation through CSR programs, and collaboration with district and urban village governments, the business world, community leaders and communities.

"We continue to implement various strategic program s for organizing and ensuring food safety," he said, Monday (12/15).

According to him, various efforts have been made by his side, starting from issuing certificates for home industry food production, monitoring fresh food, and issuing permits for hygiene, sanitation and health for business actors.

"We also manage food processing facilities through environmental health inspections and strict supervision of the circulation of expired food," he added.

He added that his side continues to encourage various innovations that have a direct impact on business actors and residents in an effort to strengthen food security while improving the quality of life of the community.

"We also increase capacity through food safety certification training for fostered MSMEs, healthy canteen development and community empowerment related to food safety," he stated.
