As many as 166 male cats owned by residents of Johar Baru District were sterilized, Monday (12/15). It was conducted by Central Jakarta Food Security, Maritime and Fishery Sub-agency.

Head Section of Animal Husbandry and Health of the sub-agency, Syafrie Edwar said the activity was held to handle the cat population in Central Jakarta.
"We deployed four doctors today. Thanks to the residents for their participation," he said.
He added that the cat to be sterilized must be male, eight months old and healthy.
"Pet cats are required to fast from the morning," he added.
According to him, by the end of 2025, the sterilization target of 1,500 cats has been achieved.
"It is 1,000 higher compared to last year," he stated.
