Jakarta Governor, Pramono Anung officially launched the "Jakarta Festive Wonders 2025" at Main Atrium Senayan City, Central Jakarta, Friday (12/12).

101 shopping malls and 300 hotels

This collaboration of Jakarta Provincial Government with business sectors brings Christmas and New Year's Eve festivities for shopping centers and hotels. The event aims to controlling inflation, encouraging economic growth, and accelerating digitalization.

Pramono explained this event is held so that people can welcome Christmas and New Year comfortably and safely, without having to go abroad.

"Discount party in shopping malls that will be attended by approximately 101 shopping malls and 300 hotels," he explained.

The Jakarta Provincial Government will provide tax incentives to winners who provide the largest discounts to increase participation and attract participants. At the start of its implementation, Pramono added that this event had driven a 20 percent increase in the number of visitors to shopping centers and hotels.

Pramono also wants to leverage the momentum of the Jakarta Festive Wonders 2025 to boost digitalization. Previous digitalization competitions at traditional markets have successfully increased the use of digital payments through QRIS by 47 percent.

"With these competitions, digitalization will also increase significantly," he stated.

Pramono also expressed his appreciation to all parties involved in organizing Jakarta Festive Wonders 2025.

Meanwhile, Suharini Eliawati, Assistant for Economics and Finance for the Jakarta Regional Secretary, reported that 101 shopping centers and approximately 300 hotels participated in the event. She stated that the participants welcomed the program, particularly due to the advertising tax incentives the Jakarta Provincial Government will provide.

"Hopefully our economic growth figures will improve this year," she hoped.
