Nine personnel of Central Jakarta Water Resources Sub-agency, are improving water channel on Jalan PAM Lama RT 07/06 Bendungan Hilir, Tanah Abang.
completion by the end of January 2026
Head of Tanah Abang District Water Resources Unit, Eli Menawan Sari said the improvement of a 100-meter-long water channel in the densely populated area is run to respond to local residents' requests.
"The channel improvement has been running since December 4 and is targeted for completion by the end of January 2026," she said, Friday (12/12).
He added that the condition of the channel is damaged so it cannot optimally accommodate the water flow.
"We demolish the channel and replace it with a new 60 x 60 cm u-ditch," he added.
Meanwhile, Santo (37), a local resident, appreciated the water channel improvement.
"It is hoped the newly improved water channel will flow the rainwater smoothly," he hoped.
