Seribu Islands Food Security, Maritime, and Agriculture Sub-agency completed the anti-rabies vaccination activity on Payung Island, Kelapa Dua Island, and Harapan Island. As many as 217 pets were vaccinated.

Sub-agency's Head Section of Animal Husbandry and Animal Health, Ajat Sudrajat said this vaccination is a preventive effort to ensure that the Seribu Islands area remains rabies-free and to maintain the health of residents' pets.
"We conducted free rabies vaccination services on three islands for three consecutive days," he said, Wednesday (12/10).
He explained his side given vaccination on Payung Island to 22 female and 20 male cats. Then 76 female and 50 male cats on Harapan Island.
"Also 29 female and 30 male cats, and two male dogs on Kelapa Dua Island," he explained.
According to him, public participation has been excellent. He ensured that vaccinations are carried out routinely to ensure the Seribu Islands remain safe from the threat of rabies.
Meanwhile, Dina (34), a resident of Harapan Island, admitted the activity helped her much.
"We feel more at ease knowing the cats are now protected. This mobile service makes things much easier. Residents don't have to travel far," she admitted.
