North Jakarta Transportation Sub-agency held an operation to control illegal parking on several roads in Tanjung Priok, Tuesday (12/9). As many as 19 vehicles illegally parked were controlled.

Head of North Jakarta Transportation Agency, Rudy Saptari Sulesuryana said this operation is a routine activity to enforce traffic order, while reducing congestion due to haphazardly parked vehicles.

"We have conveyed persuasively and humanely to business owners and vehicle owners to park in designated areas," he said.

He added that the operation will remain to be held routinely in other five districts, especially areas prone to illegal parking.

Meanwhile, Head Section of LLAJ Operational Control of the sub-agency, Yulza Ramadhoni Putra explained today's operation involved 35 joint personnel of North Jakarta Transportation Sub-agency, Police, and Army.

"Today's operation were held on Jalan Danau Sunter Barat, Jalan Danau Sunter Selatan and Jalan Yos Sudarso," he explained.

He detailed that in this operation, personnel imposed towing sanctions on three four-wheeled vehicles, transported nine two-wheeled vehicles, and imposed valve removal operations (OCP) sanctions on five two-wheeled vehicles and two four-wheeled vehicles.

"We will continue to ensure that illegal parking enforcement activities are carried out sustainably ," he ensured.
