The Jakarta Industry, Trade, Cooperatives, Small and Medium Enterprises Agency (PPKUKM) along with a joint team ensured the availability, price stability, and smooth distribution of subsidized 3-kg LPG gas in Jakarta ahead of Christmas 2025 and New Year 2026.
3-kg LPG gas stock is safe
The monitoring started on Monday, December 8, 2025, as an anticipatory step to prevent shortages or unreasonable price increases at the consumer level.
The joint team consists of Jakarta Cooperatives, Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises Agency (PPKUKM), Jakarta Manpower, Transmigration, and Energy Agency (Disnakertransgi), City Secretary's Bureau of Economy and Finance, Hiswana Migas, and Pertamina Patra Niaga.
Jakarta PPKUKM Agency Head, Elisabeth Ratu Rante Allo said, monitoring is done directly at various points in the distribution chain, including agents, bases, and retailers. All parties being monitored (agents and bases) must also have valid business licenses.
"Today's monitoring results indicate that the 3-kg LPG gas stock is safe and the prices at the agent and distributor levels are consistent with the established retail price," she expressed, Tuesday (12/9).
She explained, gas agents, outlets, and retailers of 3-kg LPG have committed to continue operating during the Christmas and New Year holidays with guaranteed operating hours from 7 AM to 5 PM. This ensures that distribution to the community will not be disrupted.
"Distributors' commit to continue operating during the Christmas and New Year period is the key to ensuring the energy needs of Jakarta residents are met without issues," she explained.
She added that the Jakarta government will continue to conduct regular monitoring and take firm action against potential misappropriation, to ensure that energy subsidies are targeted effectively and that the stability of basic commodity prices is maintained.
"I appreciate the synergy between Pertamina, Hiswana Migas, and all distributors in Central Jakarta who have committed to maintaining the supply chain," she explained.
Here is the selling price within the specified limits:
1. Price at the Agent level: Rp 14,466 per cylinder (according to HET)
2. Price at the Pangkalan level: Rp 16,000 per cylinder (according to HET)
3. Price at the Retailer level: observed to be sold to consumers at Rp 20,000 per cylinder
Previously, the PPKUKM Agency together with the joint team conducted monitoring of distribution chain points in Central Jakarta on Monday (8/12).
One of them is the agent of PT Cahaya Inti Gasindo Jaya, which receives supplies from SPBE Jakarta Utilitas Propertindo with a monthly distribution quota of 37,880 cylinders to 17 bases in Central Jakarta. As for the daily stock at the bases is recorded as sufficient, and the retailers have adequate stock to serve the community.
"Daily stock levels at the agent and depot levels are monitored to be safe and sufficient," she stated.
