PT Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta) has affirmed its role not only as a public transportation provider but also as a platform for human resources, in line with the company's sustainability pillars: Clean, Empowered, and Smart.

"Going forward, we will formulate a detailed collaboration model,"

This commitment is reflected through a strategic partnership with the Thousand Islands Regency, which was initiated through a meeting between Transjakarta, represented by the Head of the Transjakarta Academy Division, Nur Rohmat Fadlil, and officials from the Thousand Islands led by Muhammad Fajar Churniawan.

The meeting marked an important step in exploring cooperation opportunities aimed at expanding the empowerment of local human resources.

Transjakarta's Director of Finance, HR, and General Affairs, Mayang Dian Irwantari, expressed strong support for the initiative.

"Going forward, we will formulate a detailed collaboration model, particularly defining the role of Transjakarta Academy in relation to the Thousand Islands," she conveyed on Monday (12/8).

She explained that the main focus of this collaboration is recruiting and training local residents, providing them with the skills, competencies, and driving certifications that meet Transjakarta's standards.

Mayangsari added that graduates of the program will have the opportunity to work as bus drivers, either within Transjakarta's internal system or with its partner operators. She highlighted that the training provided meets broad competency standards.

"We're currently building partnerships to send drivers abroad. We've already collaborated with Japan, and we're preparing for opportunities in Europe and Asia. This proves our training meets national, regional, and even international standards," she mentioned.

She also shared that Transjakarta has prepared two key programs for the people of the Thousand Islands: an empowerment program and the Free Service Card (KLG), which will be outlined in a Joint Agreement expected to be finalized soon.

"We're reviewing the details, and we hope Transjakarta can provide the best platform for residents in the Thousand Islands to thrive and grow with us," she said.
