The Indonesian Red Cross of East Jakarta distributed assistance for fire survivors on Jalan Kayu Tinggi, RT 08/05, Cakung Timur, Cakung. A fire incident occurred and burned nine rent houses on Wednesday (12/3) at 8:14 PM.

East Jakarta Head Section of East Jakarta PMI Public Relation and Communication, Agus Bastian explained the assistance was distributed as requested by local urban village. 10 families of the fire survivors occupied refugee tents owned by Jakarta local social sub-agency.

"The assistance is distributed to lighten their burden," he explained.

He added that the assistance provided consisted of eight school kits, 10 mats, 10 basic food packages and 10 blankets.

Amin, a local resident, appreciated the assistance distributed by East Jakarta PMI.

"Hopefully this is useful and can help ease their burden," he stated.
