Heavy rain accompanied by strong winds that hit East Jakarta caused ten trees to fall and break. Joint personnel were deployed to evacuate those trees.
42 Green taskforce personnel were deployed
Head Section of Green Lane and Cemetery of East Jakarta City Park and Forestry Sub-agency, Made Widhi Adnyana Surya Pratita said those fallen and broken trees were handled by Green and Orange taskforce personnel.
"42 Green taskforce personnel were deployed to handle those trees. Local PPSU personnel also assisted our personnel in handling the fallen trees at Kampung Rambutan Bus Terminal," he said, Wednesday (12/3).
He explained that among the fallen trees, an Angsana tree with a diameter of 40 centimeters fell in the Kampung Rambutan Bus Terminal area and hit a parked box car.
Then, two 30-centimeter-diameter cherry trees fell near the Blue Bird taxi pool in the Hek area of Kramat Jati. A 40-centimeter-diameter Tanjung tree and a 40-centimeter-diameter Chinese petai tree fell near SDN 19 Kramat Jati.
"A 15-centimeter-diameter longan tree was also found on Jalan Assyafi'iyah, Cilangkap Urban Village. Meanwhile, a 25-centimeter-diameter acacia tree fell in the Embung Sejuk area," he explained.
Meanwhile, Head Section of Economy and Development of Cibubur Urban Village, Heru Kristianto stated there were three fallen trees incident in his area.
A fallen tree incident happened on Jalan Karya Bakti, RT 08/07 Cibubur. Then a fallen tree hit an electricity pole at Sumbing Park, Jalan Sumbing, Bukit Permai Complex, RW 11.
"Another fallen tree also hit an electricity pole on Jalan Bawang Merah, RT 14/07, KPAD Cibubur Complex. We directly deployed six PPSU personnel to assist the Green taskforce unit evacuating the trees," he explained.
