A new sports field has been inaugurated at Palmerah Indah Park on Jalan Garuda, RT 07/02, Palmerah Urban Village, Palmerah Sub-district, West Jakarta.

"Now, we've added a futsal court so that residents can use for sports activities,"

Palmerah Urban Village Head, Zaenal Ngaripin, stated that the field was built using General Allocation Funds (DAU) and the private sector through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program.

"This park was initially built in 2024, but it only featured a children's playground and greenery. Now, we've added a futsal court so that residents can use for sports activities," he said on Wednesday (12/3).

With a total area of 500 square meters, Ngaripin said the park and futsal court not only provide space for sports and recreation but also for social interaction among residents.

"Since this location borders Kemanggisan Urban Village, many of its residents visit in the late afternoon, which is great for strengthening community bonds," he mentioned.

Ngaripin extended his gratitude and appreciation to all parties who contributed to and supported the development of Palmerah Indah Park.

"I hope all residents can take part in keeping this place well-maintained and use it responsibly, since it belongs to everyone," he asserted.

Meanwhile, Jakarta Council (DPRD) Vice Chairperson Ima Mahdiah voiced her appreciation for the newly completed public facility, highlighting its positive impact on the local community.

"This is exactly what I hoped for, with no ego and just collaboration. All regional apparatus organizations (OPDs) should work together for the people's needs and support Jakarta's journey toward becoming a global city," she shared.

Ima encouraged residents to make full use of the field, not only for sports, but also for other activities, such as group learning or community events.

"I hope this field brings positive impacts, especially for children, so they stay engaged in productive activities and away from harmful ones," she stated.
