The Jakarta Regional Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD) calls on residents who live in coastal areas of Jakarta to be alert for tidal floods or called rob from December 1 to 10, 2025.

Make sure the drainage system around the house is functioning properly

Jakarta BPBD Executing Head, Isnawa Adji explained, this warning is issued based on information from the BMKG Tanjung Priok Maritime Meteorological Station.

BMKG recorded a phenomenon of maximum tide of seawater coinciding with the Full Moon phase and Perigee, which has the potential to increase sea water height and trigger coastal flooding in several areas of North Jakarta.

"Make sure the drainage system around the house is functioning properly to avoid potential flooding," he asserted.

He urged residents living in the northern coastal area of Jakarta to anticipate the impact of maximum tidal seawater from 7 AM to 1 PM, which has the potential to cause coastal flooding, starting from Kamal Muara, Kapuk Muara, Penjaringan, Pluit, Ancol, Kamal, Marunda, Cilincing, Kalibaru, Muara Angke, Tanjung Priok, and Seribu Islands.

Seeing that, residents are appealed to continue monitoring the latest information regarding sea waves on the pages bpbd.jakarta.go.id/gelombanglaut, JAKI application to report flooding, as well as the pantaubanjir.jakarta.go.id site to get real-time condition updates.

"If you encounter an emergency that requires help, immediately contact the Jakarta Siaga Emergency Call 112," he stated

As information, coordination with the urban village office, sub-district, and other technical agencies has also been done to ensure a quick response in the event of flooding or significant sea level rise.
