Four PPSU personnel made mural paintings to beautify 10 pillars under the Jakarta Outer Ring Road (JORR), Jalan Raya Cilincing, Kalibaru Urban Village, Cilincing Sub-district, North Jakarta.
This aims to address environmental challenges
Kalibaru Urban Village Head, Sukarmin said, the mural is being made to arrange the area beneath the toll road to make it more tidy, clean, and aesthetic, as well as to eliminate the impression of poverty.
"This aims to address environmental challenges that eliminate the impression of disorder and create visual order along the underpass corridor," he expressed, Mondayb(11/24).
He explained, the work also involved 10 orange troops on November 5, and was completed on November 23, 2025. The mural features abstract motifs as well as images of a port, beach, Monas, joglo houses, and others.
"The motifs and illustrations displayed depict the spirit of cleanliness, orderliness, and togetherness. This aligns with the village's efforts to create a more beautiful and comfortable environment," he explained.
Hopefully, those pillars could give a positive impression for the Kalibaru environment and make residents feel more comfortable and motivated to work together to maintain environmental cleanliness.
"Riders can also enjoy this mural and not get bored while riding, as well as relieve fatigue by being attracted to the beauty displayed," he uttered.
This work received appreciation from one of the residents from RW 12, Kalibaru Urban Village, Nur Jannah (47).
"Beautiful and very pretty. Let's preserve the beauty of the mural by not vandalizing it," he stated.
