Jakarta Youth and Sports Agency (Dispora) Head, Andri Yansah, along with Pertamina's directors, released thousands of runners from Eco RunFest 2025 at East Plaza Gelora Bung Karno, Central Jakarta, Sunday (11/23).
We invite the community to participate in realizing green energy
This annual event resulting from the collaboration between PT Pertamina and the Jakarta Government, carries the theme "Energizing The Unity" and features four categories: Half Marathon, 10K, 5K, and 1.5K.
Andri emphasized that the Jakarta government supports Eco Runfest 2025 as a commitment to promote Jakarta as a city of sports tourism and the sports industry.
"Besides fitness and health, this also has a positive impact on economic growth, especially for small and medium-sized businesses," he explained.
He added the Jakarta government will provide opportunities and freedom to anyone who will organize sporting events.
"Once again, this is our belief that Jakarta is a place of pride and comfort for residents who want to engage in sports both nationally and internationally," he explained.
Meanwhile, in his written statement, Corporate Secretary of PT Pertamina (Persero) Arya Dwi Paramita explained that Eco RunFest is a regular sports event that has been held for 12 years as a joyful and meaningful space for the community, while also having a positive impact on the environment.
"Through Pertamina Eco RunFest 2025, we invite the community to participate in realizing green energy and sustainable lifestyles to support the net zero emission target," he concluded.
As information, there are a total of approximately 13,100 participants in this event. In the half marathon category, there were 1,700 runners; in the 10-kilometer category, 3,300; and in the 5 and 1.5-kilometer categories, 1,800 participants.
