Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung led the Jaga Jakarta Task Force declaration event on the Jakarta City Hall yard, Friday (11/21).
All of this requires high vigilance and a collaborative approach
This declaration was also attended by the ranks of the Regional Leadership Communication Forum (Forkopimda), including the Jaya Military Command, Metro Jaya Police Chief, Jakarta Intelligence Agency, High Court, and Jakarta Attorney General's Office.
He stated that the formation of the Jaga Jakarta Task Force is a manifestation of a collective commitment to make Jakarta safer, more comfortable, orderly, and prepared to face any situation.
"We're committed to strengthening cross-sectoral coordination in the prevention and handling of brawls, enhancing preparedness for emergencies and disasters, and mitigating social impacts," he expressed.
He believes that with solid coordination between the Jakarta government and the Forkopimda, the security and comfort of Jakarta will be better guaranteed. He also encourages public participation in maintaining Jakarta.
He continued that Jakarta is currently transforming into a global city that not only relies on infrastructure and economic progress but also on the collective awareness of the community regarding safety and order.
According to him, the Jakarta Guard Task Force was born as a manifestation of that shared awareness. He also appreciated all Jakarta residents and Forkopimda who have synergized together to help protect the city.
"Participation, commitment, and support from you all, ladies and gentlemen, and brothers and sisters, reinforce that the effort to protect this city is our collective work," he explained.
They will work by prioritizing information, coordination, and measurable concrete actions. They will also pay attention to various vulnerability issues, such as brawls, crime, social conflicts, disinformation, potential radicalism, and threats of disasters like floods, fires, and extreme weather.
"All of this requires high vigilance and a collaborative approach," he added.
He also urges all parties to run their duties with integrity and sensitivity in order to maintain security, strengthen social harmony, and ensure that every resident feels protected.
