Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung emphasized the importance of collaboration between the government and the private sector, especially Real Estate Indonesia (REI), in maintaining economic growth. This synergy is crucial amid the challenge of a Rp 15 trillion reduction in Revenue Sharing Funds (DBH) by the central government.
I open the widest possible opportunities to collaborate with anyone
Pramono delivered this during the inauguration of the Jakarta DPD REI Management for the 2025-2028 term at the Balai Agung Great Hall, Jakarta City Hall, Friday (11/21).
"I open the widest possible opportunities to collaborate with anyone, with private sector, state-owned enterprises (BUMN), regional-owned enterprises (BUMD), foreign partners, and so on," he expressed.
Despite Jakarta received a very large DBH cut, he affirmed the Jakarta government's commitment not to reduce the quality of development in Jakarta. He then emphasized that the Jakarta government's main focus is related to property and housing.
First, the Jakarta government will develop digital-oriented development through strengthening digital infrastructure and technology-based public services. This effort aims to provide convenience, considering that Jakarta is relatively more complex compared to other regions.
Secondly, the Jakarta government will also develop self-sufficient neighborhoods. That is, creating a city that provides transit-based services, digital infrastructure, good mobility, and space for all parties.
The third is Transit Oriented Development (TOD). The Jakarta government will build several TODs by 2029 in various locations without using the City Budget (APBD). These include Bundaran HI TOD, Dukuh Atas TOD, Blok M TOD, and Kota Tua TOD.
"So, places like MRT, LRT, and others will be made. Well, the TOD that we will build in the near future is obviously the Bundaran HI," he explained.
Pramono also invited REI to contribute to the development of Jakarta. The Jakarta government opens opportunities and space to strengthen cooperation with the private sector.
"We certainly also need to create and open up space for better property growth in Jakarta," he explained.
Ending his speech, he conveyed congratulations to all the newly inaugurated Jakarta DPD REI management. Hopefully, they would be able to work with integrity and dedication to advance property development in Jakarta.
REI Chairman, Joko Suranto conveyed REI's commitment to contributing to Jakarta's development and economic growth. He also encouraged strengthening collaboration with the Jakarta government.
"As property actors, we will carry out activities in this business to the best of our ability, encouraging everything we can do so that property can contribute to the economy," he explained.
He added that government intervention has fostered new enthusiasm for the property sector. Government policies also contribute positively to the real estate industry.
"The policy provided offers positive accommodation, indicating that buyers, investors, and stakeholders, including the government, are attentive to property," he stated.
