Jakarta Governor, Pramono Anung, requested the Jakarta Education Agency (Disdik) along with related units to design a school program free of bullying throughout the capital city.
Please no more bullying in Jakarta
He hoped this initiative could create a safe learning environment free from bullying actions against students.
"I have already asked the Disdik to collaborate with the related units, especially for counseling, to formulate a plan to prevent bullying from happening again in Jakarta," he expressed, Thursday (11/20).
He asserted that from now on, anyone who engages in bullying will face strict sanctions. He aims to ensure that there are no more cases of bullying in Jakarta schools.
"Please no more bullying in Jakarta," he asserted.
In addition, the Disdik is also preparing policies to restrict students' access to radical content on social media.
He had met with KPAI and several related organizations to discuss the policy more comprehensively.
"I want to discuss this in depth. It must be substantive and thorough enough to address the existing issues," he explained.
He added restrictions on social media access for students are also beginning to be implemented in several developed countries due to the highly open nature of social media.
"But once again, we will examine it more closely, and for that, we will definitely inform you in due course," he said.
