The policy of using public transportation for Jakarta civil servants (ASN) every Wednesday received appreciation from the Dutch Ambassador to Indonesia, Marc Gerritsen.
He appreciated the steps we have taken
The statement above was revealed by Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung after he met with Marc Gerritsen and together using the Transjakarta bus service to Jakarta City Hall yesterday.
"When I arrived at the City Hall, I took the Transjakarta with the Dutch Ambassador. He appreciated the steps we have taken, especially on Wednesdays when we consistently require all civil servants to use public transportation," he expressed, at Jakarta City Hall.
He added that his party received reports of an increase in public transportation users from the President Director of Transjakarta, LRT, and MRT.
"Previously, the connectivity was almost 92 percent, with an average of 21 percent of users. Hopefully, we will recalculate whether now it has increased to 24 or 25 percent of people regularly using public transportation," he explained.
He continued the inauguration of officials under the Jakarta government is intentionally scheduled every Wednesday so they can arrive wearing Betawi traditional attire and use public transportation to the City Hall.
"Because I really want them to wear Betawi clothing, Ujung Serong, or Kebaya Encim, and use public transportation," he continued.
He added the Jakarta government is always open to input from anyone to advance the city of Jakarta.
"So, Jakarta as a city that then collaborates with anyone. I actively open myself to receiving input, suggestions, or criticisms," he closed.
