To reduce the Dengue Fever (DHF) cases, the Central Jakarta City administration is actively strengthening the Mosquito Nest Eradication Program (PSN) with Draining, Covering, Recycling, and Plus actions (3M Plus) in residential areas, offices, and schools.

This is our main concern to take preventive measures

Central Jakarta Administrative and People's Welfare Assistant, M. Reza Pahlevi, said that dengue cases in his area are also found in residential neighborhoods, but also have the potential to spread in office areas and schools.

"This is our main concern to take preventive measures," he expressed, Monday (11/17).

He explained the mosquito nest eradication movement is not only about mobilizing government health workers and jumantik cadres, but also requires active participation from the community and regional work organizations (OPD).

Therefore, he proposed to establish independent mosquito larva monitoring cadres in office environments and schools.

"I asked the Health Sub-agency to conduct independent jumantik cadre training at offices and schools so that the Family Health Movement (PSN) runs regularly every week," he explained.

He hoped that all OPD, sub-district heads, and urban village heads throughout Jakarta could cooperate with the Health Centers and the Health Sub-agency to reduce the number of dengue cases.

"Let's demonstrate our joint commitment to creating a healthy, safe, productive, and dengue-free work and school environment," he concluded.

Based on the latest data, from January to November 10, 2025, there have been 924 residents infected with dengue fever, and two of them have died.

Of that total, the highest number of cases occurred in Cempaka Putih with 223 cases, followed by Johar Baru with 182 cases, Kemayoran with 128, Sawah Besar with 124, Senen with 105, Tanah Abang with 77, Menteng with 49, and Gambir with 36 cases.
