The West Jakarta Parks and City Forest Sub-agency (Tamhut) is arranging the green belt area on Jalan Daan Mogot, following reports of widespread deviant activities at the location.

West Jakarta Tamhut Sub-agency Head, Dirja Kusuma said, the arrangement focused on the lawnmower and the overly lush cherry trees because they made the area darker at night.

"Residents reported suspected deviant activities along the green corridor that is adjacent to the riverbank. We immediately sent a team of seven personnel for the trimming yesterday," he expressed, Friday (11/14).

He explained, the park arrangements along Jalan Daan Mogot are being continuously intensified; if not completed today, it will be conducted gradually in the coming days until the area looks neat again and has adequate lighting.

"Hopefully, there will be additional street lights later. Let's clean up the bushes and tree branches so that it really looks visible or bright from any corner," he explained.

Regarding the lack of lighting, they would coordinate with the West Jakarta Bina Marga Sub-agency to repair the street lights along the road. This aims to prevent the location from being misused for negative activities.

"I also urge residents to work together to maintain and care for this green belt. Do not use it for activities that violate the rules," he said.

"Saya juga minta kepada warga untuk bersama-sama menjaga dan merawat jalur hijau ini. Jangan digunakan untuk aktivitas yang melanggar aturan," tandasnya.
