A total of 12,000 job vacancies are being offered by 90 national and multinational companies at the Job Festival 2025, which will run until Friday (11/14) at Kartika Expo, Balai Kartini, Setiabudi, South Jakarta.
"...will serve as a forum that brings job seekers and job providers together,"
Jakarta Vice Governor Rano Karno, who opened the event on Thursday (11/13), said the festival aims to boost employment absorption and strengthen synergy between the Jakarta Provincial Government and the business sector.
He said he's proud and happy about the event, which aims to help 10,000 job seekers, including fresh graduates and people with disabilities.
Speaking about people with disabilities, Rano shared that recently Governor Pramono Anung opened a Disability Job Fair at Taman Ismail Marzuki (TIM), where 150 individuals with special needs successfully found jobs at Jakarta regional-owned companies (BUMD).
Therefore, he is confident that the Job Festival 2025 will once again provide employment opportunities for people with disabilities and lower the open unemployment rate. This effort supports the ongoing decline in the open unemployment rate in Jakarta, which was around 330,000 people or nearly 6.5 percent in August 2025.
“What's interesting here is that there are 90 companies. There will be direct interviews with companies, training‑center exhibitions, and job‑opportunity information abroad," he informed.
Jakarta Manpower, Transmigration, Energy (Nakertransgi) Agency Head, Syaripudin, explained that the event is open to the public from 10 AM to 5 PM, with 20 out of the 90 participating companies being international-scale companies.
"We hope this event will serve as a forum that brings job seekers and job providers together. This way, companies can find candidates with integrity, resilience, and creativity," he conveyed.
