Chairman of Jakarta City Council, Khoirudin ensured that all social assistance programs remained secure and would not experience any cuts in the Regional Budget 2026.
All programs have been prepared
He said that social assistance programs have been budgeted for implementation during the first 10 months of the 2026 budget year, and will be continued through discussions on the Revised Regional Budget.
"There will be no cuts to social assistance funds. All programs have been prepared for 10 months and will be discussed in the revised regional budget," he said, Wednesday (11/12).
Khoirudin added that city council members' recess activities are also continued despite experiencing slight budget adjustments.
"Just reduced a little and we will discuss it again in the budget changes later," he added.
He also appreciated all council members who consistently defended the interests of Jakarta residents in every budget discussion.
On the same occasion, the Jakarta City Council also officially approved the Draft Regional Regulation (Raperda) about the 2026 Regional Budget with a value of Rp 81.3 trillion.
Despite a Rp 15 trillion cut in the central government's Revenue Sharing Fund (DBH), the Jakarta Regional Budget was still approved without reducing priority programs for residents.
"Today's plenary session was held to approve the 2026 Jakarta Regional Budget. Despite cuts to the DBH, we approved the APBD at Rp81.3 trillion," he stated.
