PT Jakarta Transportation (Transjakarta) has begun dismantling two bus stops that have been in temporary status all this time, the Tosari Lama Bus Stop and the BNN 1 Bus Stop.

Our focus is on improving the infrastructure

PT Transjakarta President Director, Welfizon Yuza said, this step is part of the revitalization and optimization program of stop infrastructure across the entire service network.

He explained, the Tosari Lama Bus Stop was built only as a temporary facility while the new Tosari Bus Stop underwent revitalization some time ago. Now, the new stop is complete and operational again, the old stop is no longer needed.

"Currently, the stand is no longer in use and is being dismantled," he expressed, Thursday (11/13).

The same action is also spotted at BNN 1 Bus Stop in MT Haryono area, which was previously made on the sidewalk as a temporary shelter during the construction of the Jabodebek LRT.

After the LRT project was completed and the permanent bus stops resumed operations, Transjakarta began demolishing the temporary stops last week.

"BNN 1 Bus Stop has been dismantled; only the floor section remains to be completed. The work is focused at night until dawn so as not to disturb traffic," he expressed.

The dismantling of these two temporary bus stops is also part of Transjakarta's commitment to accelerate the revitalization of old bus stops. Out of approximately 250 bus stops owned, only 46 bus stops or about 20 percent have been revitalized.

The acceleration process is conducted based on several considerations, including the level of service needs, the security conditions of the building, and the potential for business development around the bus stop area.

According to him, all these efforts aim to provide a better experience for loyal Transjakarta customers.

"Our focus is on improving the infrastructure so that the passenger waiting area becomes better and more comfortable," he added.

As information, the dismantling of these temporary bus stops has become part of Transjakarta's major evaluation of several stopping points that no longer meet safety and comfort standards.

Besides technical reasons, this step also supports organizing the main road area to be more orderly and friendly for public transportation users.
