The Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Office participated in the World Travel Market (WTM) London 2025 at ExCeL London. This is the third time Jakarta has participated in this leading global travel industry exhibition.

Jakarta's participation in this event is represented by six Destination Management Companies (DMCs): Lisa Tours And Travel, PT Jelajah Wisata Digital, Xpose Tour and Leisure Jakarta, PT Multi Mitra Wisata, Panorama Destination, and Marintur Indonesia, as well as one hotel, The Dharmawangsa Jakarta.
Jakarta also showcased sustainable urban tourism and highlighted the rapidly developing creative districts of the city, such as the Blok M area, which is becoming a famous culinary hub.
Besides that, tourist destinations showcasing the beauty of Jakarta and the latest developments in tourism infrastructure are also displayed. Among them are Monas and Kota Tua.
Including the enhancement of the city's MRT and LRT system connectivity, which makes it easier for visitors to explore various diverse parts of the city.
Jakarta Parekraf Agency Head, Andhika Permata said, Jakarta's participation in this event aims to position itself as a global city and a premier destination for MICE tourism, culture, and urban adventure.
"Jakarta Pavilion adjacent to the Wonderful Indonesia Pavilion will become a dynamic focal point for international buyers, travel agents, and media to discover unparalleled offerings from this city," he expressed, Wednesday (11/12).
Jakarta Parekraf Agency Secretary, Helma Dahlia stated that the city's involvement in WTM London 2025 is a strategic move to establish relationships with the global travel industry, build new partnerships, and invite the world to explore a new face of Jakarta.
"A city where modern skyscrapers stand alongside historic landmarks, and where culinary and creative economies are rapidly developing," he explained.
Jakarta Parekraf Agency's Marketing and Attraction Section Head, Sherly Yuliana explained, strong emphasis on promoting the convention center, world-class hotels, and robust infrastructure, positioning it as an ideal host for international conferences, exhibitions, and corporate events.
He explained, the B2B networking session brought together Jakarta delegates, consisting of hotels, DMCs, and tour operators, with key international travel partners to establish collaborations and develop new travel packages.
According to him, this participation is part of an integrated marketing strategy to attract international buyers and increase visits by foreign tourists, especially in the business and MICE segments, which have high economic value.
Hopefully, this event could generate significant business leads and establish long-term sustainable partnerships.
"Target to increase the contribution of the tourism and MICE sectors to the capital's economy, as well as to introduce Jakarta City that is ready to become a global city," he stated.
