Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung hosted a farewell dinner with the delegation of the 9th World Peace Forum and the Global Muslimah Forum at Balai Agung Great Hall, Jakarta City Hall, Tuesday (10/11).

Hopefully, this forum continues to grow

In his speech, Pramono expressed his happiness because Jakarta was chosen to host the meeting in order to exchange ideas and cooperate to create peace.

The forum, which took the theme 'Considering Wasathiyah Islam and Tionghoa for Global Collaboration,' demonstrated a civilization collaboration by blending Eastern and Western wisdom.

"Wasathiyah or moderation in Islam, as well as Chinese cultural values, both teach us how to live peacefully in balance and mutual respect," he expressed.

He also emphasized the crucial role of women as leaders in peace, education, and social progress within the Global Muslimah Forum. Women play a role in shaping caring, just, and hopeful communities.

He stated that Jakarta was built on the foundation of cultural diversity, beliefs, and traditions that continue to grow together. He also expressed pride that Indonesia could represent tolerance, openness, and moderation.

"Differences do not divide us; instead, they make us stronger and more connected to the world," he explained.

This spirit could be seen in Betawi culture, which displays many colors and is a heritage of the influence of Islam and Chinese culture that have merged over centuries.

He continued that hosting this international forum would contribute to Jakarta's steps toward becoming a culturally rich global city.

"Hopefully, this forum continues to grow as a beacon of hope, guiding us toward a world full of harmony, understanding, and compassion," he hoped.

Meanwhile, Center Chairman for Dialogue and Cooperation among Civilizations (CDCC), Din Syamsuddin, expressed his appreciation to the Jakarta Government for hosting this forum.

He stated that Jakarta is a multicultural city full of tolerance.

"I just want to thank the Jakarta Government. Thank you for hosting," he closed.
