An embankment is being constructed on the southern side of Ambalat Beach, RT 04/01, Harapan Island Urban Village, North Seribu. Islands. It is targeted to be completed by next December.

This construction of an 80-meter-long embankment with an 80-centimeter width serves to protect the land area from the threat of high waves and coastal erosion," said Seribu Islands Water Resources Sub-agency (SDA) Head, Mustajab, Tuesday (11/11).

Before the embankment was built, the area had already been reinforced with broken stone jetties to withstand the waves. This was done manually, involving 14 personnel.

"In the past few days, the weather has been unfavorable, causing difficulties for the staff during cube installation. The work process has slowed down," he explained.

After completing this massive cabbage arrangement, it will also be followed by casting and then painted to make it more attractive and clean.

"It has been ongoing since October 2, 2025. The work progress has touched 30 percent and hope it can make people here safe and comfortable," he added.

This work received appreciation from a local from RW 02, Harapan Island Urban Village, Tayib (56).

He explained that the southern side of this beach is the border road between Harapan Island and Kelapa Island, so this embankment is very important and beneficial for the local.

"Thank you, and hopefully this embankment can protect the island's land from wave surges and serve as a clear boundary between the land and the sea," he stated.
