Water channel normalization on Jalan Karet Pasar Baru Barat 1, RT 04/06, Karet Tengsin, Tanah Abang run by Central Jakarta Water Resources Sub-agency personnel, Saturday (11/8), is targeted for completion in December.

Head of Tanah Abang District's Water Resources Unit, Eli Menawan Sari said normalization is run since the channel had narrowed, causing water to frequently overflow during heavy rain.

"We install new 40x40 cm u-ditch. The work is targeted for completion in 45 days," she said, Monday (11/10).

Alfian (34), a local resident, appreciated the Central Jakarta Water Resources Sub-agency for responding to the residents' request.

"Hopefully the channel will be able to flow the water smoothly," he hoped.
