The total harvest reached around five tons, consisting of 1.22 tons of glutinous corn, 3.6 tons of vegetables, and 579 kg of fish for consumption.

During his speech, Pramono appealed this one hectare urban farming land to be maintained as Jakarta's green open space.

"I want this place to be maintained as our green open space. This place can also be improved," he said.

Pramono appreciated the collaboration between the South Jakarta City Government, farmer groups, and Trisakti University, which he considered very positive. He also hoped this harvest event would inspire other regions.

The Jakarta Provincial Government is also carrying out greening efforts by utilizing empty land such as under toll roads, while also providing playground facilities for children and adults.

To make this happen, the Governor allows all regional heads to collaborate with the private sector and utilize corporate social responsibility (CSR) funds.

"Because with the extraordinary public participation, this shows that our green open spaces will definitely experience significant changes," he added.

The addition of green open spaces in Jakarta has also boosted its global city index ranking from 74 to 71. He also targets Jakarta to enter the top 50 global cities by 2030.

Meanwhile, South Jakarta Mayor, M Anwar stated the mass harvest activity is part of a joint effort to strengthen urban food security, while also encouraging community participation through urban farming.

Moreover, this harvest can also meet food needs independently, as well as support stunting prevention, increase the economic value of agricultural products, and strengthen togetherness among residents.

"This productive land is managed by a farmer group together with PPSU, PKK, Karang Taruna, and local residents by planting various vegetable commodities such as corn, vegetables, fruit, and fish," he stated.
