The construction of water channels in three locations in Central Jakarta that have been running since mid August ago are targeted for completion in early December 2025.

Head Section of Development for Central Jakarta Water Resources Sub-agency, Martinet Felix explained the channels are constructed on Jalan Taman Laguna Indah, Gunung Sahari Raya and Cempaka Putih Barat XV.
"The constructions are targeted for completion in early December 2025," he said, Wednesday (11/5).
He explained that construction of a water channel on Jalan Taman Lagura Indah, Cempaka Putih Timur is run by 400 meters long; Jalan Gunung Sahari Raya, Sawah Besar, 300 meters long and 600 meters on Jalan Cempaka Putih Barat XV.
"We instal 80x100 cm u-ditch for those channels," he explained.
He added that his side will also complete channel constructions on eight roads namely Matraman Dalam, Sudiro, Mantri, Kepu, Bangau IV and VIII, Kwini and Diponegoro.
"The water channels are also equipped with an aesthetic water mouth or water channel feature so that Central Jakarta residents are very satisfied with the existence of the water channel that has been normalized," he stated.
