Joint personnel of related regional working units were deployed to prune prone to fall and broken trees on Jalan Dharmawangsa X, Pulo Urban Village, Kebayoran Baru District, South Jakarta.
Hopefully there will be no more fallen tree incidents
Pulo Urban Village Secretary, Said Efendi said the pruning was run to accommodate resident's request, as well as to prevent fallen tree to happen again.
"Residents reported that since the heavy rain accompanied by strong winds, tree roots were seen lifting as if they were about to fall," he said, Friday (10/31).
He added that 10 personnel of Green Taskforce of South Jakarta City Park and Forestry Sub-agency and Pulo Urban Village's PPSU were deployed to prune five trees.
"Pruning was run manually by using a ladder truck. A truck was also used to transport the pruned branches, twigs, and leaves," he added.
Said hopes the pruning will prevent or minimize fallen trees that can harm the residents.
Meanwhile, one of local residents, Wahyu Firmansyah, appreciated the joint personnel's effort by pruning the trees to prevent fallen tree incident.
"Hopefully there will be no more fallen tree incidents in this area," he hoped.
