Personnel from the Jakarta Regional Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD) along with related Cross-Organizational Device (OPD) organizations continue to accelerate the handling of flooding in South Jakarta, following the heavy rain yesterday.

Hopefully, the flood can recede quickly

Jakarta BPBD Head, Isnawa Adji said, they have deployed personnel to conduct monitoring and direct handling in the field.

"Personnel, together with the Water Resource Agency (SDA), Public Works Agency, and Fire and Rescue Agency (Gulkarmat), moved to pump out the flood and ensure the storm drains are functioning properly. We coordinated with the urban village and sub-district heads to expedite the water receding," he expressed, Friday (10/31).

According to him, Jakarta BPBD also prepares basic needs support for affected residents.

"Hopefully, the flood can recede quickly," he hoped.

Therefore, residents are urged to remain alert to the potential of flooding and to contact the emergency service 112 immediately if assistance is needed. The service operates 24 hours a day and is free of charge.

According to the Jakarta BPBD report on Friday (10/31) at 10 AM, flooding is still hitting five RTs in Jati Padang Urban Village, South Jakarta, with water levels around 40 centimeters.

As a result, 10 people evacuated to Al-Ridwan Mosque. Meanwhile, the areas previously affected and now cleared are five RTs in Duren Tiga Urban Village, and one RT in Pela Mampang Urban Village.
