The heavy rain that hit Jakarta yesterday afternoon caused flooding on Jalan Masjid Al-Bariyah, RT 11/04, Tengah Urban Village, Kramat Jati Sub-district, East Jakarta has completely subsided since 2 AM.

"Road is now passable for vehicles smoothly this morning," he expressed, Friday (10/31).

He explained, the East Jakarta Regional Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD) deployed 30 personnel to monitor hydrometeorological disasters, both the duty staff at the office and the on-call system.

He urged residents to remain cautious and alert to potential disasters during heavy rain and strong winds.

"Immediately contact the phone number 112 in case of an emergency. This service is free and operates 24 hours a day," he explained.

Tengah Urban Village Head, Budi Hartati explained, heavy rainfall causes the water volume in the channels to increase drastically, overflowing onto the road.

"Flood receded when the rain began to ease, precisely at 2 AM," he stated.
